Many of us know that if you have a difficult fabric to sew that using tissue strips either on top of or under the seams helps.
I use this with chiffons, some silks, and many knits.
Recently, I discovered that the left over scraps from cutting out a pattern made great strips. I also have a rather large paper cutter and that made cutting the strips easier. I just folded up the tissue to fit. Although I prefer cutting up regular sheets of tissue paper since it's symmetric but this is great when I'm out of the regular stuff. It's up to you as to how wide you cut them, I cut about an inch wide or so.

Great idea to use the large paper cutter for strips...I may head to Kinko's with a package of tissue paper!

Cheap adding or cash register machine tape works well for this purpose too.

I use cheap coffee filters, ironed out and cut to the size I want to use.
