| I went to the Sewing Expo in Chantilly for the first time. I took classes with Cynthia Guffey and Peggy Sagers. They were excellent. Others were so so. There were some great notions like the dressmakers scissors by Famore (they say they will sharpen them free forever) and great zip bags by Yazzi (Australian company). I bought some beautiful DVF fabric at Vogue fabrics for 9.99 /yard. I bought a silicone thimble fitted to my finger, and several other notions which are not available in local stores. I would have liked to see alot more up to date sewing booths, and more about fashion sewing. I did get to play with the Viking Diamond machine. |
