I attended the September Expo in Novi, Michigan.

The Expo is a 4 day event if you include the pre show workshops on Thursday. I attended the Friday.

I went with 3 friends and we all enjoyed our day very much. We each took 4 classes and at supper that night we shared our different experiences and we all enjoyed our day and look forward to another trip to Novi for a future expo.

The expo has a large number of vendors to visit. I do think this is section is smaller than in previous years, but still had lot of variety to offer. There were independent pattern companies, fabric stores, sewing machine dealers etc. Lots of great displays and inspirations.

Included in your day pass is 4 stages with on going events all day long.
I watched the Independent Pattern Companies Alliance fashion show "real clothes for real people" They featured 4 companies and several outfits. Worth seeing.
I also watched Jan Bones/ Lingerie secrets and more - very beautiful trunk show
I caught part of Lyla Messinger/L.J. Designs "Bringing Passion back to Fashion" What I saw was very fun, but had to run to a class.
I took 4 seminars: 1) Sewing for Babes and Tots -beautiful trunk sew but light on techniques 2) Curious about Camisoles - by Jan Bones very well done and interesting pattern line 3) Working with Bias - Jan Bones I liked her first class so well that I decided to use my free seminar on this class and I was glad I did. She had some great tips. 4) After the Perky Body is Gone by Coni Crawford - hand out was good, most of the class was and advertisement for her books and patterns. I do enjoy her patterns.

Great day and if you get a chance I would recommend taking in the expo.
