I took the 10 week beginner's sewing class. Our projects were:
- an elasticized waist skirt
- a home dec pillow w/ invisible zipper
- a tote bag
- a knit t shirt.

This class was very organized and well thought out. The materials, including the book and patterns, were excellent. The teacher I had, Lisa, was very good. She stayed en pointe and taught us all the necessary skills to finish all of our projects. She was very adept at keeping us on schedule and not straying off the beaten path, which is a plus. It was obvious that she was well trained and a good teacher to boot. You could buy all the supplies/notions for all the projects, except for the fabrics, at their store. They also sell the sewing machines (including overlockers and sergers) at the store at discounts from retail.

Each project had different techniques incorporated into them so we learned a lot of different things. For example, the elasticized waist skirt had the following techniques:

- elasticized waist of course,
- zig zag finish of seam allowances
- fitting for customized fit
- hem tape
- hand sewing
- light alterations (removing seams).

Overall, I thought this was a comprehensive class and I looked forward to class time every week. I definitely recommend it for all beginners. I look forward to taking their intermediate class after the new year. If I haven't included any pertinent information about this class, please let me know and I will update this review.
