I've found that using clear wrapping paper to duplicate pockets and other such details on ready to wear is very useful. Translucent paper is hard to see through but the clear is great for that. Next I'm going to try using it to copy ready-to-wear garments I really want to duplicate.
I found this paper at the Container Store.
