I write notes about a project or a particular fabric on the direction sheet for the pattern. Especially my mistakes :) I tend to remember my little notes by project so it's easier for me to organize them and "look them up" by pattern.

I also keep a log of sewing projects in a book in my sewing room, with comments about where to improve the pattern next time etc.

I do this! An added, closely related hint is to keep a pencil or bic pen close by... notes in tailor's chalk are hard to read later. :)

Good idea Kim. I generally make notes on the directions when I think there's a better way to do it - so next time I don't try to do it the way they suggest :)
