A good habit I developed is always marking Center Front and Center Back of garments, facings, and linings. I always make a 1/8" snip at Center Front immediately after cutting out each pattern piece. It's sooooooo handy to have these areas marked for matching up during construction. Don't make snip much longer or you will go into the area where you will stitch a seam. Before I move a newly cut pattern piece from fabric I make my snips.

Good thought! This can be very helpful to do.

This is an excellent tip and I am surprised that pattern companies don't do this. It's such an important reference point. Thank you!

Karmen, I have also been marking the centers this way for quite some time. I agree, it is another very helpful mark for matching.
