I really do not like when I have to refill a bobbin in the middle of a project and it's not until then that I say "why didn't I fill 2 or 3 up". Having a side winder has been a great help in not having to take out my thread from the machine - now that is a fine gadger worth the money BUT I also have found that if I wind up several blacks, whites, beiges and a couple of my most used colors when I have a little free time that it makes sewing a little less frustrating. I love having them set up in neat little rows waiting to be used up.

Thanks, I went out and bought one of those gadgets, yesterday.

Good idea and one I'll use.

I wind extra too. I bought extra bobbins, just so I could wind more spare bobbins because it's so easy.

This is a neat thing. I wanted one, too. UNFORTUNATELY, buyer beware! The sidewinder does not work with a couple of bobbin types, including the green bobbins that fit the Husqvarna Viking machines. I was quite insulted, and await the day when it will.
