Fantastic and amazing experience! Susan and Kenneth are a fantastic team, with lots of instruction time built around each participant's individually chosen project. My class was Aug. 27-30, and was full (15 students). There was a variety of garments being worked on: dresses, pants, skirts, corset, and jackets, and it was easy to learn from everyone's projects, not just the one you chose. The studio itself (So Fast, So Easy on 35th St. & 7th Ave.) had plenty of machines, but was a little tight at times (finding space to lay out a pattern). We made it work, and had so much fun. Our class took a few "field trips" to area stores after 5pm. My Chanel jacket required 2 muslins, and I was able to cut my fabric and lining, and get most of my quilting done. I feel confident that I will be able to finish the garment on my own, as Susan took the time to give me explicit directions and offered additional resources. Don't expect to walk away with many finished garments, as this class is all about quality, not quantity! I recommend choosing a project that you would not be able to navigate without the assistance of trained professionals! I'm already saving up for my next trip, it was absolutely wonderful!

I heard about it on the Threads discussion board when I asked about 4 day sewing classes abroad.

Thanks for telling us. I hope to someday attend at least one of Susan's classes in person. I can't wait to see your finished jacket!
