It has been held for the past 2 years at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This is a pretty big place with handy but can be expensive parking linked with the skyway so no going outside if the weather is freezing...like it can be. The classes were mostly upstairs via a nearby escalator or elevator and were easy to find. Nice variety of vendors but not as many as last year ...probably because of the economy. Lots of great classes to choose from. I'm interested in sewing knits so I took "sewing sophisticated knits" by Emma Seabrooke. I took notes and discovered some good tips I can't wait to try. Good class but would help if the instructor could stand on something so we can see them better. Fashion shows fun and lots of free demos. Personally and I think and I speak for the older generation...please move this out of DT. When it was at a hotel the parking lot was handy to take your purchases. I wonder how the sewing machine sales were. I can't imagine hauling one through a number of skywalks to the parking lot. Just a thought. Favorite vendor: Vogue Fabrics...because they are always so helpful and friendly. Seems they have a good time working for VF because it has always been the same crew year after year and its fun to shop there. It was fun visiting with the other friendly helpful vendors but wanted to mention them especially for making my purchase so fun!
