Whenever I need to go up a size or add seam allowances (thing Burda's patterns from their magazine, which do not include SAs), I use my Olfa Rotary Cutter and the Olfa Guide Arm RTY-G. I set the guide for 5/8" and the arm goes around the pattern while the rotary cutter sits the appropriate amount out and the fabric is cut with the additional seam allowance. I use this whenever I've cut the wrong size on a pattern, also.

well isn't that just a handy dandy gadet! I've never seen one before. I use a Sullvan's seam tracer pencil but this looks worth buying!
