I hope 3-stars is the highest positive rating. This expo caters to a wide variety of interests and skill levels. Sandra Betzina is always there (Yeah!!) with new garments, techniques, ideas and her LOVE of sewing. Peggy Sagers is always there with new garments, new patterns and always THE most informative lectures on fitting. This year Cynthia Guffey was there and was a big success. Impecable was the word my friends and I used to describe her work. Lots of big names are there year after year (sometimes they'll skip a year) like Clotilde, Linda Lee, Mary Lou Rankin, Judy Barlup, Margaret Islander, Cecelia Podalak, Mary Ellen Flurry, Kathy Ruddy, Connie Crawford, etc. If you are in the Orange County, California area in early November, this is a must do event.

I agree with Collette's comments completely. The best part of it - the cost. You get free reign to all classes (the biggest problem is space in some rooms), and the price is less than $40 for both days! It truly is an unbelievable value.

I concur with the previous reviews on the Fall Fair. It is a well planned event with over 150 seminars held over a two day period. Sandra Betzina is even more inspiring in person--her enthusiasm is infectious and her wonderful sense of humor makes taking her classes educational as well as very fun. Some of the more popular classes not held in the larger lecture halls were filled just about to the bursting point. The presenters, attendees and college staff were all extremely pleasant. It was a very positive experience for me.

Just attended my third year of Fall Fair. I agree, it is an amazing deal! For $35.00 you get to hear presentations from all the big names in the industry! The range of presenters is always inspiring - there really is plenty for everyone and every interest: perfecting construction, wearable art, quilting, building a business, alterations, pattern drafting, sewing room ergonomics, etc. My only complaint is that they really need to move the classes that have heavy attendance to the bigger lecture halls. Many classes in the smaller rooms had people standing along the walls and sitting on the floor. If the organizers want this event to grow (as it has every year) they need to address the space planning.

I'm still not certain where this Fall Fair is, except maybe in Orange county.
