Here is a "tip" for anyone who knows a youngster who may be interested in a future as a Designer...

If I could only do it over again, this is what I would have done.

1. Learned French early and then studied it in high school.

2. Saved all my summer job money to buy a ticket to use for a move to France when I graduated from high school...

3...to attend one of the premier Fashion Design schools in France
Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne,

Valentino studied there!

Classes are taught in French.

ahhh, to live and study in France for 4 years would have been such a thrill. If only one could go back in time!
(AND to have an bottomless supply of money to pay for such a luxury.)

Here is a link to the school

Here is an interesting article by someone who attended

Now if only I could live my life backwards...

(As a 19 year old, I did go to school in London to study theater arts for a short time but if I only knew then what I know now! When I visited France, it was then that I realized I should have studied French instead of Spanish in high school-darn! )

I agree, to have the knowledge of age with the opportunities of youth.... As someone once said, youth is wasted on the young!
