Step by step on how to Flat Fell seams with pics:)

"...Flat felled seams are the seams you commonly see on jeans.
There is no visible seam allowance on flat felled seams.
Flat felled seams provide a very strong seam.
Pressing is an important step through out creating flat felled seams.
Sewing a flat felled seam on home sewing equipment requires sewing the seam in steps.."

I use Margaret Islander's version, you only have to stitch once.

I use this seam when I make shirts, it looks good and is strong. Most expensive ready-made shirts have this seam.

Thank you. That was interesting to see. It's been a lifetime since I've used these seams but I do recall how nice it looked on the Jeans I made. Perfect timing for me since denim is on sale at the moment and I was considering buying some. I think I will now.
