It is nearly impossible to get the perfect hem on some knits especially thin ones or very stretchy knits. I apply spray starch to the hemline. I spray and gently iron with an up and down motion; try to avoid stretching the fabric. Use as much as needed to get the fabric stiff and let the fabric dry; the hemming will be easier and you won't get any tunneling. Takes a little time but it is worth it.

Thanks. Hemming is one of the reasons I don't like to sew on knits. This should help.

Sounds nice and easy, I'll have to remember it for next time I do a knit. Thanks.

Would it be too dangerous to use a tear-away stabliser instead?
