I have a hard time keeping a ruler or guide from slipping when I'm using a rotary cutter. I was at a fabric store and saw some rulers that were billed as non slip and had some textured spots on the back.
I thought why buy new rulers, why not just get transparent bath strips, the kind you put on the tub to keep from slipping. It works! A package from a home improvement store costs about $5 and an I now have non skid rules and quilt templetes! Also they are clear so they don't interfer with the markings on the transparent rulers. |

This tip is great! I never could understand why everyone raves about rotary cutting but with no mention of the slippage issue. I thought it was just me...
