I had a wonderful experience at Connie's workshop and would highly recommend this seminar.

It's a 4 1/2 day seminar held in her home studio, which is located in a beautiful rural area easily accessible from Seattle.

The class size is very small--six students--so Connie was able to give each of us very personal attention. We all left with expertly fitted pattern blocks for a darted torso bodice, shoulder princess, armhole princess and t-shirt.

The students brought photos and sketches of garments they would like to sew. Connie was able to give us specific pattern drafting pointers on how make the garment.

Connie had an assistant working with her all week which really added to the value of the workshop. Her assistant did much of our routine cutting and sewing so we could focus on learning fit and design.

Connie has a very engaging teaching style which keeps you on your toes, challenged and interested all day long. You will leave tired each day, but excited for what the next day will bring!

We also got many interesting stories and insights into the fashion and design industry from an insider point of view.

For lunch Connie's husband prepared us a delicious home-cooked meal. We all ate together family-style in Connie's dining room--a very pleasant experience!

I can't start wait to start sewing with some of my new skills!

Glad you enjoyed Connie so much. I was able to attend two events with her and thought her style was great. I wish she did more patterns in a classic style. What she can do draping is really great -wish she would come East more often !!!

YES come east! Uh, say OHIO? sounds like a most wonderful time -- learning... fellow-ship, new perfected skills... most envious here in Akron!

I have taken a 1-day with Connie - can't tell you how much I learned. One day was like a week! I heartily recommend any of her workshops.

I had the pleasure of spending this past Friday evening and Saturday all day with Connie at Supreme Novelty Fabrics in Chicago. I learned so much, and she freely shares her knowledge with the students. It was a small group, so we had lots of individual time with Connie. I wish I could attend one of her workshops in WA, but for now I will have to work through her books and patterns. Her display garments from her patterns were stunning. She uses basic blocks, great lines, and stunning fabric. If you have a chance to take one of her classes or workshops, I would encourage you to do so.
