Even though most of my machines are quite heavy, I do find 1 that 'walks' on the table top when kicking into high gear. I found non-slip mats that you can use under placemats, table cloths etc that I now use under my machines. I use the long runner type so they extend between machines & therefore table top is protected from the chaos of my scissors too.
