Alligator Clips as "Pins" for Serging (Tip/Technique)

Since pins aren't supposed to be used for serging, since you can miss them and damage your blade, I use alligator clips (these things from Cleaner Supply, although I'm sure there are other places to get them too.) They're a great deal more obvious than pins and don't easily go under the foot, so they can be used to hold together seams that are going to be serged, without risking harming your machine.
