This is a post about how to buy a used dress form in the right size and pad it to fit your measurements. You can find used dress forms on craiglist or ebay or even at flea markets occasionally. It is essential that the dress form is the same measurement as you in the high bust . You can make the rest of the form bigger if you need to by padding it with strips of batting you can buy at the fabric store. Make sure you put a bra that fits you on the form and pad that out as well. Then cover the entire padded form with a shape wear tank you might already have or can but in any lingerie section of a shop. To read more click the photo icon above to read my post at

I am curious about this, as well. My dressform is smaller than me on all measurements and I padded her out entirely (upper bust included) with great success.

I "found" one in our loft yesterday - had forgotten all about it !!!! Unfortunately it is a size too small. Can I not "up" the size with padding and if not (as you say) why not please? Thanks for this.
