French Seams on the outside of the garment for novelty finish
For a finished seam 1/2" wide cut seam allowances 3/4" wide
With right sides together stitch with a 1/4" wide seam allowance; press
Turn the garment right side out and stitch with a 1/2" wide seam allowance; press
Technique found in Claire Shaeffer's Fabric Sewing Guide |
