Pattern drawings and models are notoriously thin. That is, they show an often unrealistically thin and tall person. I am not that person. I am barely over five feet and plump. I came up with a way to get an idea of how a pattern style might look on me. I don't have any fancy software, I just use what is available for free on my computer.

First I download a photo or drawing of the pattern. Then I open the photo in Microsoft Photo Editor. I select Resize from the Image menu. I check the box to allow distortion and increase the Width % as much as needed (often about 120 %).

There is undoubtedly other software you could use to do this.

What a fantastic idea. I remember laughing myself silly making those distortions to face pictures, but would never have thought of this.
