If you sew lots of different fabrics, you may end up with high- or low-pile fuzzy fabrics that leave nasty fluffy buildup inside the workings of your sewing machine.
Leave this stuff long enough, and it'll choke your baby (aka your sewing machine)!
If you do end up with a clump of fluff, just grab that office duster can of air! Make sure the red tube is securely fastened on the end and hold the can upright. The liquid inside may damage new-fangled sensitive computer parts.
Open up the little trap doors on the machine and spray in short bursts, careful not to hold the trigger down too long on the air can. A few shots, and it's as good as new! If you end up with clumps that won't come out and your machine brush is too short or too stiff to grab them, use a long-handled soft paintbrush to wipe them away.
Regular maintenance and cleaning of your machine saves a lot of $$$ in the long run! |

Thanks for the review but I was told by my Viking dealer not to use that method. Instead use the mini vacuum tools /more suction power and no chance of damage to the computerized machines. I have had no problems with this method.

I hold the air can BEHIND my machine and blow the fuzz out the front opening rather than into the machine. Of course, all machines may not be made like my Berninas and allow for that.
