The Perfect T-Shirt DVD by Pamela’s Patterns, by Pamela Leggett

This is a DVD that takes you from T-shirt making from beginning to end.

• Shoulder Seams and Dart Placement
• First Fitting
• Pattern Alterations
• Sewing a Dart
• Setting in the Sleeve
• Pressing the Sleeve Seam
• Neckline Finishing
• Second Fitting – Waist and Hems
• T-Shirt Hemming
• T-Shirt Variations

I bought this DVD because I am sort of a collector of sewing DVD’s and books, and of course, patterns. I was very pleased to find this DVD so helpful. Worth every penny, and I can’t say that about every sewing DVD I have in my stash. She takes you from beginning to the very end of making a T-shirt, all the while demonstrating each step and explaining the process in a very easy to understand format.

She makes it all look very simple, and following her steps I believe it really is simple. I don’t think there is a step where I sat scratching my head and having to go back over it a few times to “get it”.

This is a home produced DVD, which includes her phone and doorbell sounding. The sound is a little echoie, but nothing that would keep anyone from thoroughly enjoy and learning from this DVD.

Some things I learned:

Pattern alteration Pamela style. Example: During the second fitting she decided she needed to take the waist in on both sides. While she is wearing the T-shirt, she pins where she wants the new seam. Takes the T-shirt off, turns it inside out, and folds it in half lining up the side seams. Then she puts the front pattern piece over the back pattern piece lining up the side seams. Then she lays the T-shirt over the pattern pieces lining up all the sides. She uses a cute little pink rotary cutter and cuts thru all the fabric and paper pattern pieces in one swoop.

Her demonstration of block pressing was interesting too, and provides a very attractive neck area.

I would recommend this video for any beginner for sure, and more experienced sewers can learn something new too.

She has a gift for teaching.

I have the DVD and agree. I also think her pattern is going to fit better than all the others I have tried.

I also bought her Bias Skirt DVD and is worth every penny. She also answered my extra questions.

I purchased this DVD after reading a review here and I agree with you. While I have been sewing for a long time, and making lots of knit tops, I found new and interesting things on Pamela's DVD. I also liked the way she did her alteration to the top and pattern at the same time. I agree, well worth the price.
