I was a complete beginner before taking this course but I feel that it was an excellent introduction to basic garment making and sewing skills.

Lena (our teacher) took us through the early stages of how to construct a simple garment and the skills necessary to do this. She showed us how to use a sewing machine and other skills such as how to sew hems and other useful things.

In the later stages of the course she showed us how to cut the pattern to make a skirt and then how to put on a zip, a professional hem and a waistband.

I really feel like I learnt a lot on this course and it has definitely inspired me to continue practising the skills I have acquired and learning to make new things.

Will definitely be taking the draping course!
