I have trouble with my standard sewing foot seeing what is happening underneath when sewing near the edge of the bias tape. It is hard to get that straight line 2mm next to the edge of the tape. I've discovered my zipper foot is perfect for sewing bias tape. The foot runs along the edge of tape, like a zip, and you get a lovely nice line. Plus you can see what you are doing more easily.
I've just been adding bias tape as a seam finish and it has worked perfectly using the zipper foot. |
Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try.

Brilliant tip! Wish I had read it earlier. . . just made a real hash of applying bias tape & had hassle of unpicking.

Thanks for the tip. I have been avoiding bias tape because it is so hard to get it right. I will try this.
