I have a German-made Rowenta iron with a button which allows you to add a spray of water. Unfortunately the little plastic spigot developed a crack on the side and, instead of projecting a nice spray of water, it simply drizzled down on the iron. My DH solved the problem for me by cutting a small piece of shrink wrap tubing to fit around the spigot. After the tubing was heat-shrunk, the sprayer worked properly again.

I have an ancient Row'. The one with the removable water tank... I now use it tankless as a dry iron with a spray bottle..because it cracked..(traumatic fall...my fault) Might try your fix... Many thanks!
