This class is an introduction to what your new serger can do for you. It starts by teaching you how to thread the machine and then you get to practice. The instructor I had travels to all the Moore's stores and her name is Darlene. I practiced ahead of time so I could ask specific questions about my machine and problems that I encountered already. The part I did not like was the sales pitch for certain "recommended" serger feet which we were able to practice with and some notions. If I did not buy my machine at Moore's, the class would have cost $100.00. I think that cost is too much. I did enjoy 3 hours of instructor time; but, in the end, I had no product to share---only some scraps.
Oopsy-Daisy! said... Ah, yes -- the "after-sale" sales pitch! Sometimes you do discover those can't live without items. But you can always go back later and buy them *when* you need them. I remember getting caught in the tizzy and buying "The Elasticator" foot for my serger - never used it... (It did help with my trade-in later though) 10/26/03 6:16 AM
