I just started doing this... wish I'd started it sooner!
Take the sticker with the thread color number that comes off the top of the spool of thread... save it and put it on the bobbin of the same color thread when you're done with it. I take the end of the bobbin thread and put it under the sticker too, to prevent it from being loose. Then I know EXACTLY which bobbin goes with which thread. I also write the thread color # on the spool in Sharpie so I can always match them up later! Saves a lot of time of going through bobbins to see which color is the closest match. |
