Baking parchment works well as a tracing paper for euro style patterns. It is stronger than tissue and is easy to find. Scotch Tape doesn't stick very well (postal tape is a little better) and it's a little slippery but it works great in a pinch and is affordable. The width is quite adequate for the most part.
