i downloaded an app to my ipad to keep track of all sorts of things. its called Bento, does not cost a whole lot but its quite powerful to keep track of all my sewing patterns particularly. i take images of all the envelopes, create different inventories ie. vogue, butterick, burda etc, give each pattern its name or number, description & notes ie, when i sewed the item, how long it took me etc.
i also link directly to the pattern review website page of the pattern so i dont have to search for the page every time! saves time &everything s just a click away.
this way i also have it sync'd to my iphone so i can take the info with me everywhere..ie. when pattern shopping i can avoid double purchases, know meterage required etc.
highly recommended not only for sewing but any inventory, expenses, tasks, notes etc.
check it out!! |
I've purchased this app and am trying to get my patterns organized, too. I love that it syncs to my phone. I just have massive work ahead to inventory everything!

Evernote, a free app, is also good for keeping a pattern inventory. Photos and tags to categorize the patterns make it easy to find just what you need when you find a great fabric.

I also have Bento for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Love it! I like that I do not have to take photos of envelopes - I can save an online image and use it in the Bento database. Makes things go much quicker. Did you use one of the free pattern inventory templates from the Bento user forum?
