Hi, I just had to share this tip as it's vey frustrating when you apply a plasic snap and it either doesn't work(snap together) or you have it in the wrong place.

I needed to remove about 8 snaps and was horrified at the thought.

Use an awl or a small ice pick, heat it over a flame until very hot and then poke it through the centre of the snap, the side of the socket or stud, right through until the awl slightly pierces the flat cap side. The plastic snap will now just come apart.

It will leave a tiny hole but it's the best you can do. Oh and don't forget to use an old piece of wood or whatever you have underneath the fabric to protect your bench surface.
