| After struggling with a piece of glued sequin/confetti fabric for a while I finally got smart and googled for tips. That's how I found this website. After reading the tips for using soap or waxpaper, I couldn't immediately put my hands on either and my mind was racing for other ideas. That's when it struck me. Silicone! I keep a can of spray silicone around (great for sticky locks, etc.) so I decided to try it on my sewing machine needle. I sprayed a bit of silicone into a little dish; dipped my finger and rubbed it on the needle. I continued to do this ever so often as I sewed and didn't have a bit of trouble with sticking or thread breaking. |
Great thinking. Thanks for the tip.
