| Did the Beginner sewing class in 2010. Very useful tips and tricks for general pattern picking, layout, tailor marking, ironing, pinning, etc. Wanted to get back into the swing of sewing after having been out of practice; this was perfect. Each person picks their own project and works on it. I made a great "interview" set of pants with piping; came out very nice. Class was welcoming to women and men, which was nice, and my only complaint was that the store is small so when it is filled up with people there is not a lot of space to move around. |
Where in Massachusetts is this shop located? Years ago, in the mid-sixties, I took a free sewing course at a Singer shop in downtown Boston after buying a mid-range Touch'n Sew machine. Thought it would last a life time but replaced it with Vikings (note plural) and haven't looked back. Great course though with printed individual lesson plan for each week of 6 week course. I made a two piece outfit using Moyshegal (sp.) linen .
