Cherylwashere just posted how to use an old scanner as a light box. I have another use of computer equipment as a light box - The flattop monitor. I needed to copy something exactly one day and didn't have a light box in my arsenal of sewing things. I took my computer flattop monitor and laid it down flat, with a white background as the background color, and voila!, a perfect light box. Gave myself the high five! and said saved my money! If you don't use a light box regularly in your creating, this may be a perfect, occasional, no cost option.
