I sometimes use the magnifier on my sewing lamp when I need to thread a hand sewing needle, but it never occurred to me that it would be useful when threading one for the sewing machine. The trick here is to orient the needle (my machine needs the flat side to be at the back) and thread it using the magnifier before I insert it in the machine. I find it saves me a lot of time and frustration when using a machine needle with a very small eye.

I would not have thought of threading the needle before I placed it in my machine. Thank you!
