I picked this tip up in a Craftsy quilting class. Many quilters wear quilting gloves when they are free motion quilting. If gloves are uncomfortable for you, apply some Neutrogena Hand Cream to your hands. It makes your fingers tacky and helps you grip the fabric as you're machine quilting.
