When cutting pattern pieces from a large piece of fabric, I often have trouble with the excess yardage hanging off the table pulling at the fabric portion being cut. I solved this today by using large binder clamps (very inexpensive at your office supplies store) to fasten the excess fabric to the edge of the table. Voila! Fabric stays put!
