Our local Viking dealer sponsored a three day Quilt Academy taught by Patty Albin a freelance educator from Colorado. Patty is a very experienced quilter with extensive credentials. While I favor clothing construction, I signed up for this seminar to support my local dealer and because of the value. Only $95 for three full days including lunch and snacks. It was definitely worth the time.

Since it was Viking sponsored Patty spent a huge part of the class helping us to learn to use more of the features of our machines. We combined embroidery with quilting which was especially fun for me. We had three projects and I was able to almost complete each one in class. Just a few finishing touches and I will have three Christmas gifts.

We learned thread painting, machine trapunto and making quilts with traditional blocks and machine embroidery blocks.
Excellent and worthwhile seminar
