|Lingerie Techniques class was very valuable for those of us just beginning to create our own lingerie.
The lessons were detailed and the illustrations clearly showed the technique step by step. There were at least 20 lessons that we could do at our own pace. Fifteen or twenty minutes of sewing each day let me try one or two lessons and allowed me to keep up with the pace of the class without any trouble.
If I had a question I posted it to the Q $ A board and got an answer quite quickly. A real help between chats!
A kit of fabrics, trims, elastics, laces, and a loop turner that are used in the lessons was available. It was worth the money for me to have the right materials at hand for each lesson. I get frustrated trying to learn a new skill using the wrong supplies. With the kit, I had the right materials and tools and that made things go so much more smoothly.
The highlights (for me) of this class were the three chats we had with our instructor. She was just great! Answered all our questions relating to the class plus many more! She really knows her stuff and can explain things so even the most novice sewist should be able to follow her suggestions.
I have only one suggestion. One of the chats occurred during the noon hour. I was not able to join that one since I do not have a break at noon (let alone an hour!). I was able to read the log, but it's not the same.
I am always encouraging sewists to bring their skills up a notch. Classes on PR are a great way to do just that!
I'm signed up for another.....can't wait!
