This pillow board is really a "lap-top" desk that I bought for my daughter to do homework on. Of course it is meant to be used with the pillow side down on your lap and the hard wood desk top side up, but I discovered it makes a wonderful surface for laying my beadwork on while I'm working on it. The "pillow" side is very sturdy and firmly stuffed and is great for holding your threaded needles. I'll use it for any type of detailed handwork that I want to do while sitting in a comfortable chair. It was $10 at Target.

I use a very sturdy cardboard box on my lap to hold my laptop, if I'm using the laptop on the couch... This prevented the laptop heating my lap ;) and also allowed air circulation to the underside of the laptop. 12/10/05 7:17 AM
