Featured in the PR book!
I needed to mark up a 2 in. hem. I decided to measure a small yellow sticky-type note. It is perfectly 2 in. so I can measure with it, fold up the hem, pin and sew.

Maybe its my eyes but the contrast between the light paper and dark fabric helped mark easily. I wrote 2" on the paper. One could trim one for 1-1/2" etc. Any card stock would work but the sticky note was right there in a moment of inspiration and was just right.

Great idea! I'm working on a skirt right now. Will try marking the hem this way. Thanks for the review!
