I needed to mark up a 2 in. hem. I decided to measure a small yellow sticky-type note. It is perfectly 2 in. so I can measure with it, fold up the hem, pin and sew.

	sewinghappy said... Maybe its my eyes but the contrast between the light paper and dark fabric helped mark easily. I wrote 2" on the paper. One could trim one for 1-1/2" etc. Any card stock would work but the sticky note was right there in a moment of inspiration and was just right. 4/7/04 9:16 AM
