Featured in the PR book!
I came about this by accident when I made New Look 6204.

I needed to finish the armhole, neckline and hem on a thin, uncooperative knit. I tried a narrow rolled edge, but it rippled and then stayed straight in some areas. I folded it under 1/2" and did another rolled edge on the fold, almost like a tuck. It drew it up enough to fold over the original outside edge inside, almost like a facing. Some areas did still curl, but since it was the right side showing, it looked nice and like I had planned it -- no worries about the "facing" showing.

It gave it a fun mock layered look.

I may triy this again in a solid fabric or even using contrasting thread.

Absolutely brilliant!!! I loved the rolled edge finish, but I don't like it when the backside of a printed knit shows. This is such a good idea. Thanks for posting.
