I just bought a bit of faux fur and the lady at the counter was being reprimanded for "cutting" a customers fur. She ripped mine and it didn't even leave a "fluff" of fur floating around. I will tear the fur into strips and be very thankful. I had envisioned wearing a mask to cut 2" strips of white fur for a santa suit! YEa. (Doesn't work with bonded faux fur, though. I have some of that and have to vacuum after I cut it, sew it and hang it up!

Thank you. What an excellent tip. I have faux fur in thte attic and this certainly make using it much faster.
