I went to a sewing course in Heidelberg (Melbourne Australia), I think the shop has since gone out of business.
We made a different garment each week. The owner of the shop selected which patterns we were going to make, and did not optimise it by making multiple pieces from one pattern (therefore making it pretty expensive). She also pre-cut the material. Watch out for this as the cuts were overly generous. The instructor was not skilled in fitting and I ended up with garments that were unwearable due to being several sizes too large (size selected on her advice)! I was very disappointed. |
