I picked up one of those wire-with-a-wood-base photo/card holders from a yard sale for a buck. (see photo) It does a great job holding the pattern directions at a good level. Especially if your bulletin board isn't accessable for directions-pinning, or is too crammed with other stuff !

As you can see, it can hold several things at once. Gosh, I love my new ruffler !
