I thought I would allow others to benefit from my experience.
1) don't wear black when sewing, but especially when dealing with fleece
2) don't wear floppy sleeves. These can get cut or knock off small pattern pieces form the sewing area when you don't look carefully enough
3) Don't sew in your pj's if you are trying to fit yourself....no undergarments mean no support and that means too low bust darts and an odd fitting garment.

I cannot sew with shoes on. It is always funny when I take a class and have to remove my shoes, sometimes slippers are ok.
