O.k. here is another international review!
I took a class on bra sewing last weekend.
We organized it ourselfs and hired the coach ( Michaela Föhner), who has written the only book about sewing bras in German.
Before attending the class we had to send our messuarments to Ela and which kind of bra we would like to have. Ela drew the bras based on our meassurements and brought them along to Northern Germany.
We could order a sewing kid for 19 Euro too, which included all the things needed for a bra like wires etc. Thread was not included
The class started at 9 a.m. and we were 10 students.
First all of us traced the patterns and cut out the bra. Then we started sewing and Ela helped us fitting the bra ( Stupid me didn't fit the bra, because I was soooo sure, that I have an a-cup... doh... learned: Listen to the coach ) and tackle things like " how to use Powernet".
At 4 p.m. most of us have finished her bras and except mine every one fitted nicely.
I learned, that although I wear 75B ( German size ) I need an underwire size 85B and shorten it due to the form of my twins.
I have ordered more notions, so that I can sew a well fitting bra soon!
The whole class has cost me incl. fabric & pattern around 50 euro. Not too bad.

Ela is willing to give classes all over Germany ( I don't know about abroad ) you just have to pay for the class, her transportation and hotel.

This sunday was worth every Cent!

Thank you for sharing Tini. I was recently looking at an ad for a class on making a bra at my local G Street Fabric Store and am very interested. I would have assumed the same things you did - very interesting about the different sizes. Good luck on your second try! Hey, is that the bra you made on your URL - I can't read German, so I can't tell. But if it is, that is absolutely FABULOUS!!!

That website is for the person who gave the class. I think it says how it is so hard to find a bra that fits, and when you do, you often can't find the same one again, which is why it is good to learn to make your own bras. Thanks for the review, Tini! Very informative and amusing. Good idea to get together with friends to have a class.
