I'm not sure if this is a regular program of hers, if not, it should be! Susan was in Houston, Texas to teach one of her "Couture Boot Camp" classes, and the Houston Chapter of the American Sewing Guild was able to grab her for a 2 hour trunk show of her clothes. Your local ASG chapter may want to look into this if she is ever in your area.
Her clothes were absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking! The photos from her books do not begin do them justice in real life and on real bodies. (Some lucky members got to model them!)
It was fun to listen to her talk about and see the garments from her Threads Magazine articles and one of their Challenges (the Chrysler Building celebration), her winning dress from the "Make it with Mohair" competition, the spiral ruffled skirt from a PACC class...my head is still spinning trying to remember it all!
Of course, numerous examples using boning - all types, shapes and sizes. Corsets, pants, jackets, skirts. These aren't just sewn, they are "engineered". Wow!
She has a wonderful sense of humor and was truly a delight! You should definitely jump at the chance to take a class with her someday.
FYI - She will be at the upcoming American Sewing Guild Conference this summer in Nashville. Visit their website - www.asg.org - for more information.

I would be honoured to take a class by Susan! I have been viewing her sewing classes on cable TV in Australia! Sadly, that channel has now been deleted (due to cost). Best Regards Sophie Katsibouba

She has a sewing show in the U.S. for the DYI channel, but I don't get that one - it's a $ premium channel with my provider. :(

I have one of her books and have been impressed with her obvious skills. Plus, I did catch the Chrysler Challenge in Threads and am rather intrigued with her designs. Thank you for submitting this review.
