This class was a lecture, demonstration and trunk show hosted by the Tucson Chapter of the American Sewing Guild. Lyla is very entertaining and talented. As she tried on most of her pattern designs, she shared techniques for making a turned under neck edge stay in place, "easy" bias binding application, scarf ideas, embroidery ideas, fitting techniques and design ideas to cover "bumps and bulges." She encouraged us to try on her samples. She was energetic and fun and encouraging. She showed how to make the same pattern more than once with different fabrics or different techniques to give a whole different look to the same garment.
